RRS TDV8 - Engine 'Warm-up' time - Normal??

Hi Guys/Girls,

It maybe a TDV8 thing but mine seems to take ages to warm up and for the heater to become effective.

With the car standing/slow traffic use after 20-30 mins or so running the temp does not get past a 1/3 up. In normal/hard-ish driving it takes 15-20 mins to mid way.

Is this normal?

Any comments welcome.

Sounds wrong to me. Mine will usually be at normal operating temp on the dial in 5 minutes of "normal" driving. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Something definately isn't right. I was looking at mine this morning (6am) as it was the coldest it has been for a while. About 3 miles driving through town and then another 3 on the dual carrageway, maybe 5 minutes and needle hints the mid point and stays there for another 70 miles. Seats toasty warm in that first five minutes and cabin warm within another few.

Not sure if that helps but at least you know yours is running cold or not 'normal' at any rate.

Richard
