So, having taken on a new car with a replacement set of 20" MY10 wheels with brand new Conti tyres, I'm loathed to chuck them but am being niggled by the thought of lack of capability in the winter.

So what 50 profile 19" tyres have you gone for on the winter set?

I purchased a set of wrangler f1 and alloys from a forum member who had replaced them with 20's |

That's because D3 is meant to have 45 profile on 20's & 55 profile on 19's - RRS is not |

Got the 245/45/20 coopers on mine they look good and there is no issue with the size of the tire at all |

If you deviate from manufacturers recommended tyre sizes you may invalidate insurance and warranties. You could also face police action in the event of crash investigation |

^^^ Technically, yes, unless you have told the insurance company that you are running different wheels to those that come out of the factory.
