Hi Fraser,

That looks like a good set for a normal car cleaing/valet business.

If you want to get into the higher end of the market such as detailing, you may also want to stock up on some more premium products.

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ is an excellent source of information and friendly people with lots of advice. Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

I Like this stuff for the blue Z4 I've got

http://www.dodojuice.com/purple-haze-carnauba-car-wax.html

it works great on blue paint ..... you can buy a panel pot ( a bit of a misnomer as it will probably do a RRS 2-3 times) to see if you like it or not.

And i use this on the sport ( well i see i the guys who look after it for me do)

i would buy a few things and see what you like rather than buying a whole load of stuff from one manufacturer.

They give quite different finishes the dodo juice leaves a real rich deep finish and i think changes the colour of the car slightly... the werkstat leaves a very clean technical finish suited to a new car and is supposed to enhance the metallic flake.

But what experience have you got in detailing Fraser? It not as easy as it looks. Think you will get a lot of comments on this idea of yours. But I wish you luck with it. Thumbs Up

i used to be a valeter and these products are cheap but to be fair its not the product that has the problem it how you valet your car and a full valet should take 6 to 8 hrs on a rrs as you have got to doit in stages . as alot of people just clean there cars and a quick hover wipe the dust off dash and jobs a good 1 .
me i would by these off them there all in buisiness to sell things so dont nok it till u tryed it Thumbs Up V8 HSE CRUSADER 2008

When you say 'getting into detailing' do you mean as a business or just on your own cars?

That will really impact on what you will need. The kit you linked would be 'ok' but if your looking at it as a business, I'd say you'll need a fair few more bits. Autobritedirect offer some kits for entering the valet/detailing market, so could be worth comparing there, or getting in touch with your local Autosmart rep.

If its just for your own cars I'd look at sites like www.cleanyourcar.co.uk or í4detailing.co.uk, there are loads more sites, but these are the two I use the most for bits and pieces.

You don't need to buy everything all at once too

I spend a fair bit here and there and now have found a set of products like to use, for what I need to do

Check out wolf chemicals Thumbs Up

Agreed, best to try a few products at a time and see what works for you.
