Same again, same old!!

Took the car in today with knocking and the upshot is front anti roll bushes and front hydrobushes are unservicable. Quote £900!

LR Approved are not paying out quoting the clause "The gradual reduction in operating performance (wear and tear) consistent with the age and mileage of the vehicle." other clause is "You are not covered for the components failing due to wear and tear."

Notice how it doesnt even say "Fair" wear and tear. Under that wording they could refuse ANY claim!!

If this failure is "consistant" with vehicle age etc why isnt there a queue of MY07s with this failure?

Car is 07 at 62k miles. If these are due to go at this age/mileage then why are they not in the service check - surely if LR dont expect them to fail the insurers should follow manufacturers direction? LR Approved warranty - sold to me by LR agents - is not worth the paper it is written on. Why do they bother asking age and milaeage, take the premium and then not pay out? Oh yeh Greedy B rds !!

Insurers and bankers - common denominator? Financiers ripping us all off!!

I had a run of the mill 406 a few year back at 150k without this failure; why cant LR equal that with their technology and modern matierials?

Anyway, if my appeal fails then I have a sympathetic and genuine service department at the local dealers so maybe I can get a quick booking!!

I had my anti roll bushes done last week under warranty on my 2008 sport at 40k

However the warranty did not cover a rattling noise I was getting from the dash board that was caused my trims vibrating at certain temperatures. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

i expect the miles are the main contributor in this case, anything over 60k and most manufacturers don't want to know.

ok so an extended warranty, they usually don't cover any consumable parts such as bushes, bearings etc.

extended warranty is good for mechanical parts, gear boxes, ancillaries etc. U will get the bushes act done for much less than 900 mate.

Anti roll bar bushes are like 12 each, drop links 120 each IIRC (trade prices obviously)
