Can't tow on my licence so we are ok there and as for the car boots they're too early in the morning

Well that only leaves you one option. . . .

Youll have to start laying tarmac on unsuspecting peoples drives. .

You'll have more fun in that than you'll have in the RRS. I've got a little off road toy, it started off as just buying something dirt cheap last year for the snow.......a year later and i still havent stopped throwing money at it. But everything is dirt cheap and i have soooo much fun. In fact, the RRS kinda takes a back seat plus the RRS wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting where my little off road toy will.

Would say without hesitation RRS better than Disco 1 and 2 off-road. Disco 1 better than D2 in my mind though. Traction control far more sophisticated in Sport compred to D2 and engine power and delivery far better too.

The RRS is let down by the silly plastic lower door mouldings which tend to be its achicles heel, not expensive to replace but can twist the door and jam it shut in extreme situations.

Have taken the sport off roading a couple of times and really enjoyed it. I know this will be different to the sport but doesn't matter if it gets a bit battered

As long as you are having fun thats all thats counts.  Now driving a rather smart looking Van
