I live in a small community so most of my driving over the past 2 years has been local. As a result, my front discs are warped from stop and go driving. I would like to replace them with cross drilled rotors. RR doesn't use these and will not install them.
My car is an 2009 and warranty still in effect. Does anyone have any thoughts to whether cross drilled discs would last longer than factory flat discs with this type of driving? Thx in advance! Mike mike murphy

Crossed drilled or grooved discs are designed to dissipate heat, however you must be driving the car rather hard to warp your front discs surely.

Are you sure there is not a problem with calipers binding or something similar? I only ask as it may save you replacing the discs only for the same fault to occur. I would check with your dealer also, although the brakes are not covered by warranty you may find the fitting of drilled discs is enough to void your warranty.

The dealer said it would void warranty on brakes. It is only in-town driving but a lot of stop and go. Just recently had car over 70 mph for an hour. Thats the fastest its been in 2 years. Will have brakes checked though. Thx! mike murphy
