Rear seat headrests

Well it was the first time I had to raise the rear headrests as I had some passengers....pushed in the little button and pull them up, sounds simple enough Smile ....after 2-3 minutes of pulling, whilst passengers are waiting to board Embarassed am I doing it right, consult manual, yes there is only one way, using all my strength manage to raise them. Surprised
Have tried to move them up & down, it takes great effort Sad
Has anyone else had this problem and what can I lubricate the metal rods with Question Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

They can be a nightmare to lift up... for some insane reason Mrs Shmoogle seems to be able to do it first time every time. So when you hear me say "my wife certainly knows how to press my buttons" I'm talking about this and nothing else. Trust me.

Yes, they are a pain to raise up.
I lubricated them a little with very light oil and it helped abit. Be careful though, use sparingly and not spill on the leather! Malaysia Boleh!

You'll notice they also tilt slightly away from the seat, unlike the front headrests. Sometimes they seem easy to pull up, other times they are a GIT! L319 D4 HSE

Solution is to leave them partially raised. Then they can be adjusted easily to suit the occupant Idea
