I'm looking to purchase a TDV8 3.6 RR Sport, I'm new to this site and would value all useful comments and tips with regards to what to look out for.

Listen for front end knocking (a multitude of causes but if it's the dynamic roll bar that's gone then that's £900 to replace.. the symptom of that is a rumbling noise after a quick left right of the wheel)

Check the autobox changes up smoothly.

Check the air suspension by lowering it and then raising it to off road... the older the car the slower the pump will recover but I'd expect at least 3 full downs and ups again before the "vehicle raising slowly" dash message..and certainly no error bongs.

check the oil

If you've driven a TDV6 (2.7) then it should feel a good deal nippier... if it does not then walk away.. RRS gone

I would suggest buying from a LR dealer and getting a warranty...............a RRS is not something I would buy 2nd hand privately
