Non-Latin characters from iPod?

Hello everyone. Just got my new 2011 rrs and I must say I am very pleased so far. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get the non-Latin characters from my iPod (eg Cyrillic, Asian characters, etc) to show up on the screen when a particular song is being played. For now, all I'm getting is blank dashes essentially. Thanks everyone fir your help.

I came across the same "issue" when my IPhone had some contacts stored in a different language. I have not heard of any ways around it. But it is a similar problem to the one computers used to have. Back in times when a PC did not have a particular font installed, it would not show the text, however you could just copy and paste, i.e. through buffer - then the text in a different language would show. What I am saying is unless you manage to somehow install the font you need on your SatNav screen/Computer, I do not think there is a solution. Vadim A.

exact problem

yes this is the exact problem i'm having. i have both contacts on my iphone and songs on my ipod in cyrillic and with other non-latin letters and they seem to just come up as dashes. were you able to find a fix for this?
i have a 2011 rrs-- completely love it by the way!
