My MY07 has the six stacker radio and I wouldn't mind replacing it with something a little more modern - something with USB, usb controller and ipod controller, blue tooth etc.

No one replaced their head unit and retained full functionality of there on car systems? 07MY RRS TDV6

Don't think it's possible M8. The whole system is so integrated with Sat Nav / Phone Etc. and is specific

IIRC the OEM fitted radio/satnav/ hifi is a bespoke design by Alpine specially for LR - you might find they do something that can be integrated without loosing all the other bits 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the comments - looks like the head unit will remain. Sound is a OK - just an archaic unit as far as modern functionality is convened.
