wow congrats MDP.. make sure you keep us updated of its delivery and pics etc when it lands.. 3.2 DSG is hot in my sisters A3, so can't imagine what it will be like in a TT Bodyshell, the DSG box is SUPERB, wish they did one for the RS4.. reckon 4.2 to 60 with one!

haha..

Well apparently too much power for a DSG, Porsche and Audi are trying to develop a DSG to take a lot of power, so that will be interesting, think Bmw will follow suit too, but god knows what the difference between DSG and SMG is.. ??

TT.. hmm.. very nice.
Have you read the reviews about the new S3.. basically everyone thinks its overpriced Censored .. BUY THE GOLF R32 DSG for less and have more fun! well ok.. won't order one then... (even though residuals are FANTASTIC.. very cheap motoring! but who wants cheap motoring in a crap car..)

Audi have denied any plans for a hot i.e. RS, TT on the grounds that it will be too close the the forthcoming Le Mans.

Re. the DSG gearbox not being pacable of taking the power, doesn't the Veyron have a DSG gearbox ?

I believe so, yes... if it'll work in a Veyron you'd think it'd work in anything.

The BMW SMG is a straight-forward sequential 'box.
The Audi DSG is effectively two 'boxes in one. One has 1st, 3rd, 5th & reverse, while the other has 2nd, 4th & 6th. It also has two cluthes, while one 'box is in 1st, the other has already changed into 2nd and when you need to change gear, one clutch drops in, while the other drops out in a fraction of a second. The really clever bit is that the 'box knows whether you need the next gear up or down depending on how you are driving.
Result, totally seamless and smooth drive, without the jerkiness of other sequential boxes like the SMG.
