I've never used elete so can't comment.
As far as I understand you can get a couple of different types. One where they plug a box of tricks into the car which adjusts fuel or a proper remap where they download your existing map (which has all the cars correct numbers within it) and they then teak that map. You can normally state if you want out and out power, or an efficency map which still makes the car lively and get more mph (depending on you right foot).

Don't know massive amounts re mapping but every car I have is always mapped properly and never had an issue. You will wonder why the car did not leave the factory like it! RRS HSE with a few extras & a

Thats why i prefere a remap as opposed to a plug in chip one fits all because every engine is differant, thanks for your comments.

I had a BAS map on my 2.7 TDV6 Disco and the power delivery was superb (even compared to the map I bought it with).. very smooth and very little additional soot.. with mid range punch greatly improved. Well recommended

are there different types of remaps to be had then i was looking at gaining more miles to the gallon than lots of extra power i have contacted elite-remaps any one used these and is it a good remap as they are offering a good price this is what it says on there web page does this seam true thanks

i take it different tuners alter the original files am i right if so then i need to be looking at getting a remap that most people have had done any suggestions thanks
