Heated Rear Window weak elements

Hi All
I have a 56 plate RRS and the top three elements of the heated rear window work fine and clear the window within a couple of minutes but the rest although are working take a good 20 to 25 minutes to clear its as if the elements are weak, can anybody advise me on this??
Many Thanks
Ray

I had the same problem with mine. That and the rear quaters wouldn't clear either. Ended up with getting the rear screen replaced which sorted the rear quarters as well. Once they start to go they can't really be repaired. No idea how much it would cost as mine was done under warrenty. Elise S1 - Race Spec

If you can see where the break is or where it is worn down you could try.....

Open the tailgate and shine a bright light the other side of the glass you will clearly see the broken lines as the light will shine through. Java Black

That might explain why my car arrived with the bottom elements damaged... Sad

The wires in the rear qtr glass are not heater elements, they are the ariel wires for your in car entertainment systems. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
