Knowing this country, there will almost certainly be some form of tax to pay Big Cry

If it is a personell import ie. you have owned it in country for 6 months and can prove it then no taxes.

Other wise vat and import tax of 10 percent on the value which is determined by customs not what you paid for it.

Spain

I think you have to de-register it in Spain, else the vehicle will keep accumulating Spanish taxes etc.

Exactly, go to A/Your Gestor in Spain and they can do that for you, not impossible to do yourself but very difficult/time consuming even when you speak Spanish.

Not as I understand it if it was bought within the EEC and all taxes and VAT/IVA have been paid then some small payments as per the very detailed info on DVLC www.direct.gov.uk/dvlalocal; or by phoning 0300 123 1277 and they will ask for your postcode and also help in filling in all the forms which are available from the DVLC website.

Sorry for very late replies Bow down
