Will do that if it thinks it's grounding, good way to trick a D3/RRS into extended height. Might be a fault with a height sensor. |

Agree - common - there was a recall out for this earlier this year for a batch of faulty sensors - but common symptom for a failed or failing sensor - LRA can diagnose and assist at home if still covered. |

Ditto, Mine had the NSR sensor replaced for the same reason. As a temporary fix you can overcome it by locking it in access mode as soon as it bings to go into extended mode.
