February will certainly work better for me as we always seem to have company regional conferences in late Jan/early Feb, and it is always difficult to get out of them.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

We are in subject to which weekend it ends up being. Our eldest starts high school next year and will be heading off to a selective school without any mates so will be a bit of settling in to do in the first month.

It looks like we are all set on Melbourne Wine Region then, so i would ask the Melbournians to maybe narrow down where we could all stay and we can work out an itinerary between drinking and driving ... or do i mean driving and then drinking |

IIRC my last look at the Rutherglen area pretty much confirmed no real 4wd driving of any note. So really just on road driving between wineries.

or there is the Yarra Valley for the wineries and you could probably do some good off roading in the Murrindindi State Forrest on the back of this.

2nd can we leave it up to you locals on that last post, might be definitely a better option in terms of Yarra and/or the Inn, a day or so of off road and maybe a day or so of Wine Tasting |
