Hi,

all noticed lack of power increased fuel consumption, and smoke when you put your foot down.

took it to the dealer and they diagnosed as faulty intercooler, but they could not get one, so managed to find one and got it fitted.

the car is a my07 tdv6

it seems better now but the power is not the same as before and the mpg has not gone back to normal.

when the intercooler was changed had the garage check the intercooler pipes and it was okay.

there are no error messages on the dashboard nor on the diagnostic computer, so baffled to what it could be.

okay did a bit more reading into this, and am thinking from what i have read it could be the maf sensor.

got a guide of bobby for this

am going to take it out tomorrow and give it a clean, is there anything special i should clean with it, was thinking of using some carburettor cleaner.

Carb cleaner is fine. Try unplugging it 1st. if there is no difference in performance it will be your maf. Cleaning them usually only is a stop gap. Cayenne Turbo "S" 521bhp Standard

Hi,

all quick update, cleaned the maf with electical contact cleaner, the cars is much better now

will run it for a few days and see how i get on.

the air filter was also very dirty so ordered one off ebay for £19.99 inc delivery, its original, and is from a Land rover dealer

so if anyone needs a new airfilter there is a seller on ebay selling them
