British Tabloids

Kick off of the European qualifiers for the poofballers, so the press, or should i say gutter press decide to drag
crap out about Rooney.. Whilst not a poofball follower, i just cannot understand the mentality of the arseholes that they believe it is in the "Public Interest" we all know it is in their interest... No doubt white van man will enjoy it and demand the gallows Sheep Sheep Sheep and then bitch when they do not qualify Rolling with laughter Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

To much influence kaine from a certain "republican" ex aussie and his newspapers.. The UK governments have always run scared of him (Sun/NoW voters), and post iraq enquiries, the BBC is no longer a public service Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

The very same people who use the press to promote their image? I'm afraid if you sleep with the devil expect to get burnt - if the likes of Rooney want to be left alone do not sell your wedding to a magazine, do sponsorship deals for this and that. They trade off their image so if in reality their life isn't what they portray then I have no sympathy! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I totally disagree with breaking the law to get a story but if some hooker comes to the paper and tells her side of a story I see no harm in publishing it. Newspapers are a business and need to make money. They use celebrities to make money in many ways and celebrities are happy when it's favourable but cry when it isn't - Tough! With this Rooney case it would seem that it's true yet he and his wife are happy to portray a happy family to whichever publication waves a cheque in front of their eyes.

If the N.O.W are found guilty of phone tapping then the punishment should be huge. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

for example William Hague in the news this week - the Beeb did a 10 min piece on it during one news programme during the week, plus it was all over Radio4 - who care's - I appreciate its a tabloid headline to get people to buy the paper, but actually its a non story - madness

Not a game at all - just business. I would bet that more copies of the N.O.W. were sold this Sunday than it would usually sell because of this story which would prove that this is what the readers want. What one person finds interesting another finds dull! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Kaine, you sound like you listen to radio 4 a lot, like me. Have you also noticed how much news "predicting" that the BBC news programmes do - "The BBC has learned that Minister XYZ is going to say in a speech" and similar. To me that isn't news that is news froecasting. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Predicting or the usual leakage, the BBC fundamentally changed after the Hutton enquiry, you know where the BBC were blamed at the behest of Campbell/BLIAR by a so called impartial no white washable problems here group of lackeys. So in the new world post Hutton perhaps they get as many snippets / leaks as murdochs rags do or did in the past. so tell it as the govt requests, rather than "investigate" or "report" in an unbiased manner.

VA in regard to "if they are guilty" by virtue of the amount of information that was found in terms of compromised account data and the number of journalists that had access, Royal correspondents, Sports etc, that would lead me to suggest that this was broader than just one or two rogues.. I just hope that the police enquiry is reopened, is impartial and not put under undue pressure by Government to appease a certain news baron Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
