I must say this is ridiculous complicated procedure for a alternator change.

Do I need to remove the fan shroud just to access the tensioner? Isn't it possible to loose the tension withour removing the shroud. I'm working outdoors and it's cold... any simplification is very welcome.

I still don't understand how to release the tension on the belt. Do I just pull the tensioner anti clock-wise?

Now I have resumed to get my RRS working again. I managed to remove the belt etc. and now i'm trying to remove the two lower bolts holding the generator. I can't remove them because of the RH turbocharger intake tube and I dont know how to remove it. The manual says " Release the RH turbocharger intake tube" and "Remove the nut" but nothing more.

Whats at the other end of the RH turbocharger intake tube? Does it need to be released from anything? Right now it's kind of loose but I dont know which direction to pull it.

Any inputs?
