Hello everyone

Been looking through and reading some threads but thought i would post this as a specific question as I am off tomorrow to look at a 55 plate RRSS from an independent with 40k on the clock.

Is there anything in particular that i need to be looking for?
Any recalls i should be aware off and what are the most common problems with these cars?
The dealership supplies a 6month comprehensive warranty which i will be looking to extend but I don't want to expose myself to buying a car that is in and out of a workshop.
Is there a major service due at that mileage or soon after?

I have seen and heard a few horror stories with sports and vogues recently around that sort of age but my heart really wants to own one and I am hoping they are more isolated incidents.

I realise that this is probably an obscenely boring topic that has been posted many times before but any guidance would be appreciated.
