REAR TYRE WEAR

Hi Guy's
I have an 06 RRS HSE TDV6, I have 285 x 35 x 22 on it, the front tyres are wearing fine but I had to replace the rear, the last 2" on the inside is badly worn down while the rest of the tyre is only half worn, When checking the tyre it isnt all fured up like a tyre is when the tracking is out, the tread is flat and wearing perfect but for the last 2".
Any ideas Guy's could it be the rear suspension or do the rear bushes give bother?? Sad
PS WHAT TYRE PRESSURE SHOULD 22" RUN AT.

cheers
Wullie

Hi Wullie,

Sounds like the dreaded 'bush settling'. Check out this thread

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic17268.html?highlight=

Getting a four-wheel alignment done is the next step, trouble is the vehicle should be put into 'tight tolerance mode' some kind of lock to the air suspension, LR dealers can do that, not sure about your average tyre depot though, so don't expect much change from £200 and LR contribution is unlikely.

Good luck! Thumbs Up

I stick to 36 too and my last set lasted 20k. Nick may I suggest you actually drive the car and not do 10mph everywhere! Wink 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Guy's
I set them at 40 psi all round and have done 2000 miles, seem to be wearing flat, still watching the inside of the rear tyres though until I get time to take it to LR stealer for tracking Confused Prob bit hard for front but I'll see how they wear set at that.

Have I told you I get 200 mpg too??? Laughing

I swear the mileage is correct - even LPR couldn't believe it - Toyo Prox's best tyres ever....
