March Results from Land Rover

Today the Land Rover UK has delivered the greatest ever monthly volume in the company's history. The market's previous record from 2006 of 10,674 units has been eclipsed. Today we have delivered over 11,000 units for the month of March.

The scale of this achievement is quite remarkable

LR has delivered almost 3% of the total cars registered – 1 in every 35 cars retailed in the UK in March was a Land Rover.

LR have delivered 35% of the Off Road sector - a new Land Rover was registered every 80 seconds during the month.

regards,

James Thumbs Up

So what you are saying is I've just ordered a car that is as common as the muck it can drive through Shocked Said RRS is now on order.

Don't worry too much Lawrence - I think todays rise in tax on high emission cars to £950 may have caused people to bring forward their purchasing decisions.

James - your 80 seconds doesn't sound right unless you referred to cars registered during office hours... "lies, damn lies and statistics" Wink

But nonetheless a good result for LR and probably some slapping of backs on the new MY10 models but don't forget the long list of problems the first adopters have suffered - which do seem to be working their way through the system now.

Great news for the UK manufacturing sector - I'm guessing the exchange rate has also helped a lot with this?
