2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Galway Green
Galway Green?

Lots of talk recently about Bali Blue and how Black/White/Silver is considered the most desirable. I didn't want to hijack John's for sale thread any more so I wondered what people's thoughts were on Galway Green?

Buckingham Blue which was obviously the best colour has been dropped by the looks of it so I've been thinking about Galway next? WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Richard I agree, last time I spoke to James my colour combination was going to be Galway with cream leather piped green. Stunning and classic. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Stratstones in Cupar had an 09 TDV8 in Galway with 11,000 miles on the clock (gone now to another dealership I think) and have to say it just looked right....wish now I had gone for that colour combo rather than the Buck Blue Whistle

You can never go wrong with any Land Rover in green, it's the company colour after all! Though probably suits the FFRR better than the RRS, seems to be a bit in conflict with the image of the sport? Maybe that's why they started sticking the black and silver badges on them instead of the green/gold ones. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

I saw an 09 Galway Green in the stealer's showroom about a year ago. I loved it and if I have another RRS, I will pre order Galway Green. Its very rare in Australia but looks "right" as wacky says.

What??? Approve my Censored .....

Green??? there isn't a single car that suits green these days - British Racing Green is a 'has been' colour. I doubt any Morgan, Aston, Bentley buying punter even looks at green anymore....and when was the last time you saw a green RRS?

Cypress Green on a Bentley GT is a well known lemon of a colour....knocks a few £££ off the value of a car. If anyone on here physically buys a Green RRS in the next year, It will be for a joke.....

If you all like it so much, how come none of you bought it?

Get a grip all of you, and come to your senses, please? i don't want to have RRS mates who drive green cars - it's hard enough being seeing with Richard and Wil....but I do it Razz

The lease company basically offered me the option to switch to a brand new TDV8 at no extra cost to myself.

From speaking to them the TDV8 hasn't been selling well to lease companies and LR have targets to hit. The cars were pre-registered in March and have zero miles but LR hadn't been able to shift them to the lease companies as expected as everyone wants the new TDV6. I guess it helps explain why LR had a record month in March!

There was a choice of colour but no Black or Buck Blue. I'm happy as its a brand new car again and the TDV8 has some tasty options as standard - Adaptive Cruise Control, Adaptive Dynamics, Adaptive Xenons, Automatic High Beam Assist, Paddle Shift, Diamond Turned Finish wheels.

They are delivering it Thursday! WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

No, not yet. I don't mind really. I like the Almond/Nutmeg I have at the moment and I already have LR mats but the carpet is so impratical especially in the boot and the trim around the doors shows marks easily so a darker colour there would be better. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I look forward to seeing the tdv8 Richard, even in Green Wink

Will you be taking it wading like you did the Blue one? I'm sure the lease company would be impressed!
