Lenny

I doubt they would be USA legal.

I would have thought that you would have lots more choice of personalized plates in the USA. In the UK, the choice is limited to plates that have been issued and real personalization is therefore difficult and expensive.

Here in Australia, we can have what we want so long as its no more than 6 characters and isn't deemed profane or distracting to other drivers.

It used to be that just about any car shop in the UK could make up a number plate for you with anything you wanted written on it, not just to use as the plates on your car - lorry drivers often got ones with their nicknames on to stick in their cab windows for example.

However, a couple of years the law changed to try to cut down on vehicle cloning, and now only licensed retailers can make/sell number plates, and you have to provide the vehicle paperwork showing the registration of the vehicle for them to make that plate for you, so you can no longer just get anything you want made as a numberplate.

So, I think you would struggle getting UK plates made up. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

No it isn't - just google 'UK number plates' and there are plenty of places that'll make them up, usually located in the Republic of Ireland. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.
