I then use scratch remover called "Scratch Off" by hand on light clear coat scratches. Then use an orbital grinder with a foam pad to wax and use either Meguiars paste or Gold Class Liquid wax.  Looks like a small pice of blutack that you gently rub over the paintwork and/or wheels with a lubricant and it pulls off tar spots and general crud etc. You are left with incredibly smooth bodywork ready for polishing or waxing. Check out this link; http://www.detailedimage.com/Auto-Detailing-Guide/Clay-Bar/ You will be amazed how much crap it pulls of the bodywork. Ive got a piccie of a bar I used on the drivers door a few weeks ago in my gallery. Hope this helps.
