Auto close door mirrors

Hi everybody, had my RRS HSE for about a month now (2009 model) and boy am i pleased.

I have seen on my mates RR Vogue that when he locks the car his door mirrors close in, can that be done on my Sport. I know you can do it by pushing the button down on the inside of the door, does anybody know if it's possible to have it set like the Vogue, is it a stealer job or can a general motor electrician do it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, would love to hear from someone who has had it done.

Great forum by the way.

Cheers Andrew Very Happy Very Happy

Ellivas,

Sadly it's just the 2010 product (and FL2) that have the folding mirror function when it's locked, therefore there is nothing that your 'Stealer' Rolling Eyes can do!

Not sure if an Autoelectrician can do anything for you, however with such a late vehicle I wouldn't advise tapping into the electrics and causing yourself a potential warranty issue.

The obvious fix would be to come and see us and PX it for a 2010my HSE!! Very Happy

When are you going to start selling the new Tata 4x4? The Aria, Kia Sorrento size with a 140bhp 2.2lt TD engine with full time 4WD........................... they were considering a 170bhp version but the gear box cannot handle so much power. It can only be better than the Tata Safari that my local dealership sold 1 of in the 5 years they were Tata agents! According to Autocar this week the Aria features an LCD Infotainment screen -"this first time such technology has appeared in a Tata" Wow Tata is at the forefront of 21st century tech, and it has a green LCD screen too! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Tim,

I guess if it wears a LR badge then we'll sell it! We don't get too much information on Tata products...... as Tata employess enjoy a staff discount then I'm waiting to hear what my Tata discount is, as I like a good cup of Tetley!

No, offered him the £, and then after some digging around, needed the following...

1. 4 year service, to include major service, which came to £995

2. Porsche Inspection £300

plus no tax and MOT due in 4 weeks, tyres 4mm

Great looking car though, best i have seen - but not fun buying a car and then spending £2K......really P**** off the guy buying my RRS - he was not happy - but if he reads this - am really sorry mate Crying or Very sad
