Well, after some stressful last minute hitches with the finance ( which were largely due to the car being ready earlier than I'd anticipated) I collected it on Friday.

It's fantastic!!

Handover wasn't the experience it's been before with other decent vehicles, but given the discount I obtained I was never gonna be getting champagne and flowers for the wife

Couple of little niggles but so far everything seems to do what it's supposed to and vehicle is a joy to drive.

Does anyone have a picture of what premium carpet mats should look like? The ones fitted are just plain carpet mats, no edging, badging or fancy metal edges. I paid £100 for premium car mats and these don't look all that premium tbh.

Also I have connected my external 2.5" HDD with about 60Gbs music loaded onto it. It takes about 2-3 minutes to index every single time I start the vehicle. Is this normal? I set the drive up as per Ford's instructions when I had it in the Focus RS. Should it be organised in a specific way for the RRS? Instructions don't mention anything.

Rubber may be better...but when you have a nice girl in your car in high heels, and she wants to take her shoes off...she would rather feel nice carpet, than rubber!

And she only takes her shoes off, and no shes not a hooker, and yes my other half knows blah blah blah...

I'm emailing with regards to the premium carpet mat query.

You ordered the premium carpet mats which came from the factory, as you rightly say these are plain dark mats with no detailing.

If it was the mats with the metal corners and badge that you wanted you would have needed to order dealer fit carpet mats which are more expensive at £137 + vat.

Is this correct?

I know the carpet set with the metal bits are about the £130 ish mark plus vat.......
