TDV6 is a joint Peugeot / Ford effort, built at the Dagenham engine plant I believe. Cambelt and HP fuel pump belt require changing at 105,000 miles or 7 yrs whichever is sooner,under normal operating conditions.A couple of quite common faults.......EGR valve problems, some have had Turbo failures or if lucky sometimes just a split intercooler hose. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

I don't know how who makes the engine makes any difference but I hope this helps...

The TdV6 engine is a 2.7 liter, direct injection, six-cylinder diesel engine having two banks of three cylinders, arranged at 60 degrees to each other. * Two electronically controlled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valves
* Two EGR coolers
* Exhaust re-treatment by means of a diesel specific oxidation catalytic converter and primary catalytic converter
* Cooling fan with electro-viscous clutch drive.
