Note that the head unit plays the AUX input at a volume which is a few notches lower than the standard audio and the phone if you have it paired. What used to give me a heart attack was that I'd turn the volume up at the head unit to hear the AUX input properly and then the damn phone would ring and it was like a bomb going off Laughing Embarassed

If youve got a spare £50 lying around I just bought this

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TR824LL/...TA4NDYzMTY

Plays and charges my iPhone 3G from the pin connector so no issues with having to crank up the sound on the stereo and having the sat nav/phone blow your head off when it kicks in. Dosnt interfear with the bluetooth integration of the phone either as it mutes the stereo when someone calls.
Also comes with a handy remote control that attaches to the steering wheel alowing you to play/pause, stop and skip tracks, meaning I can hide my iPhone away in the tray on top of the fridge out of site.

Best £50 I've spent in a while.

Bullet

Having owned my car now since Oct 2007 and never having been able to connect an iPod to the stereo (or so I thought), my wife bought me a Land Rover connectivity kit (£250 she told me tonight) in 2008. I never fitted this and sold it on eBay for £50.
I decided to valet the car today and I was sitting in the back seats for the first time. On cleaning the plastics etc, I came across a flap between the 2 heated seat switches. And blow me - is there not an AUX jack-point and 12v power outlet there. I just connected an iPod and also my HTC Hero and played my music through my Harman Karden. Bloody Hell and Doh!

Guess this must be a Range Rover Sport age issue.........Not been in the back seat for god knows how long !!!!
