Different categories - dependability, reliability, quality, design etc. You can score really well in one, but not well in another. I generally just look at overall vehicle dependability as that "Measures problems experienced by original owners of 3-year-old vehicles.". If you are worried about problems, that is the one to look at. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

ok, long chat with Mrs Cherokee and tax manager, gonna plump for a RR 3.6 Vogue V8, 06 plate will be around £35k-£40k a lot more than the RRs but more reliable longer term...................I hope.

Thanks for all the input guys Smile Clones are people two

Or how about the new 4.6D Toyota Land Cruiser. Supposed to be very reliable and has all the gizmos that LR put on. Quick for a big 4x4. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

RRS 2.7 V6 HSE. Now 2 years old, not one single problem, a superb vehicle.
Owning any modern car is a lotery I guess because they are all over complicated.
Go for it, it will put a big grin on your face every time you drive it. Enjoying life and spending the kids inheritence

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Stornoway Grey

Everyone is different but here goes, I think the main problem is the dealer being totally useless.

Satnav doesn't work, crashes meaning you have to disconnect battery Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Heated front screen doesn't work, again Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Heated rear screen didn't work Evil or Very Mad

Mobile phone connection packs up, disconnect battery to reset Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Anti rollbar knocks, been with dealer for 1 week, hope this is cured Question Question

Apart from the dealer damaging the car everytime they have had it and making even more work that's about it, just not impressed that a 60k car has stupid faults the dealer cannot rectify. Land Rover UK response is pretty poor, everything referred to dealer.

Would I buy another, no thank you

Would I recommend, no but the main issue is the supplying dealer, Stratstone in Newport, not interested in quality or service in any way whatsoever. That's my view, somewhat against the grain.

Tandem, try another dealer - check out the dealer feedback section. A bad dealer can ruin your expeerience with the car.....
