About 50 metres! How sad is this - I was trying to get it down to zero, the petrol station sits betwen 2 roundabouts 100 metres apart, I went round these 2 rounabouts about 10 times until the zero popped up! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

did it on the way back from Merc World - after turning the engine off in a queue, when I restarted it the mileage jumped back up to 12miles (or similar) remaining

still a heart stopping moment though - top work VA Thumbs Up

No fuel and freezing cold... mind you, at least there was a Sainsbury's at VA's two roundabouts to provide sustenance! Wink

Be careful running your motors down to zero miles .. It drags all the crap through the lines out of your tank & clogs up injectors, can cause a whole load of grief. Confused Theres usually around 10 liters left in the tank when the miles show Zero too

I understood this is now not the case due to improved fuel filtering at the tank - but I may be wrong

It all depends on where the pick up pipe is situated in the tank, chances are you will never drain the tank bone dry as the pipe probably doesnt go right to the bottom.

i wouldnt have the balls to run the tank that low, just in case i ran out

I always keep the tank full, as much as possible some of my Previous cars
