What size is the rear number plate, i am away and want to order a new oblong rear plate but don't trust the missus with a measuring tape lol.

No need to measure, its just a standard size regardless of how many letters/numbers in your registeration.

Remember to take all the documentation when trying to get new plates, I think you also need a utility bill with your address on!

I went to a local auto shop and asked for the Jaguar shape plate. Fits well and a bit more pleasing to the eye - IMHO Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!
Ex- RRS HSE TDV6 07 Java Black, bi xenon, corner lights, side steps, tints, cool box, smoke side repeats, chrome "sport" boot sill
Ex - Audi A4 Cab 3.0TDi Quattro
Ex - Freelander2 SE TD4
Ex - CRV Auto

Yeah the rear plate is certainly larger than the front. I believe it is 615mm x 146mm

Just got mine from Demon plates great service no need to measure just specify the car. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Strange, when I purchased my RRS it had previously been on private plates, the new plates that I insisted on fitting myself were purchased from a motor factor shop and were identicle size front and rear

Apart from the special shape rear plate and the square plate as used on Defenders I was not aware of any other legal plate sizes

I recently went for one of these on fleabay LINK!

Ended up having to change the front too as the back now has GB badge, border and 3D Text which I think looks loads better than boring ones that were on before.
