Passenger Seat Belt Sensitivity

All,

My passenger seat belt warning kept notifying me that the passenger seatblet was not being worn....all good..except that I only had my rucksack on the seat (which weighs approx 4kg)!! is this normal?? When i removed the rucksack, ie put it on the floor, the warning stopped.....

Anyone else experience this level of sensitivity....

Asim, carrying unsecured items on the front passenger seat become missiles in the event of having to brake very hard or in the event of a crash.................... so the footwell is the safest place to carry even light items. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
