2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

That is either Kaohsiung Taiwan or Alang Beach, India and the video is totally wrong because what they were doing was intentional as they were scrapping the ship and the two either side at a scrapping beach!

I have done the same thing but there was enough room between the hulks to "berth" the ship I was on at Chittagong in Bangla Desh. Helped to beach a 292m long 32m wide and 6m draft containership there in 1997, have a video tape of it somewhere. Had to start from 30 miles off the beach and work up to maximum speed (25 knots) and just drive straight up the beach, never even felt the bump as we slid 200m up the beach at 25 knots - it's a weird experience when you spend every working day trying not to go aground to then have to deliberately do it at the end of the ship's life.

I am going back to my ship next week, before my leave has finished as 2 weeks ago she went aground in the River Scheldt going up to Antwerp............................ loads of paperwork lots of expense fortunately no pollution!
Don't know the whys and wherefores so cannot give you any more details

BTW not every ship on the sea is a tanker...................................... those were all containerships! Tankers only carry oil and chemicals in bulk, we carry anything that will fit in a 20ft, 40ft or 45ft container and quite a few things that don't! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Alaska White

One of my last vessels. 123' / 37m. Not quite Tims league but good fum !

Yes had keys. However they were used to provide power to the engine systems and then engine was started by a control panel.

Keys in cupboard under steering position, system controls either side of centre console, duplicated on aft deck, fly bridge and engine room.

This is the aft steering position during the build
