I assume that to activate this on UK/European pre 2010MY cars you have to get the dealer to reset something in an ECU, does anybody know? As from 2010 or 2011 all new cars in the UK will be required to have daytime running lights and I wondered if older versions of the car have the facility to activate this seeing as it is a requirement for quite a few EU countries already 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, We set this up at PDI. Obviously at the moment the function is there but not activated. I would imagine that the Land Rover will activate it 'in production' once the legislation comes in so as not to rely on the dealer network.

I had this done on mine
Bought the Hella LED dayrunning lights, got them installed instead of the fog lights. They get on when I turn the engine on and get off when I turn the lights on...
