2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Top Gear

Last night's edition was one of those when I wish I still had a telly - a superwidescreen with surround sound in this instance.............................. or a monster sized monitor for my laptop. Just brilliant, especially watching it on iPlayer while eating my beans and bacon breakie this morning. Do I get the feeling though that James may seems to be hogging the Sunday evening airtime on BBC2 - James May and Oz Clarke go beer tasting - followed by James May in TG then followed by James May doing something else adventurous? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Cheers Al, I watched it on iPlayer and can watch it again over the next 30 days by which time I'm sure I be tired of seeing it! One of the better races they have had I think too. It will be a long time before another car breaks that lap record too. 1m10s - 7 secs faster than the last record holder is going to take some driver even at the hands of an expert driver like Schuey 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

best evening televiewing in a long time

Loved the Jag XJ120, Steam Train, Black bike race up the old A1

The Fezza was great too, but Schoooeeee was/is NOT the Stig

Mays program on the U2/Moon landing was one of the best factual style programs i have watched in recent times, I am slightly jealous of the trip in the U2, the feeling must be a lifelong trill Mr. Green

Couple of my Dad's mates had XJ120s. Jaguar "borrowed" the number plate off of one of them for thier adverts it was JAG 120. They were great little cars very comfortable and quite quick for their day. Last time I had a run in one of them was in the middle 70s the car was a roadster and full racing spec, completely stripped out and with a 370bhp 3.8l straight six under the bonnet, Jamie, the owner, took me to Rumster Hill climb in it where he was competeing. He had set the car up for hill climbs and had a short ratio rear axle top speed was around 100mph but the acceleration was phenomonal and with the smell of Castrol R40 wafting into the open cockpit I was in heaven Cool I think we went sideways at just about every corner on the way to Rumster. Jamie managed to set fastest time of the day for his class and also the track record for his class.
Just done a search for him and found this link with a pic of the XJ120 back in 1972.

Laughing Laughing Fair point Wurzel!!

Watched it all last night again too... excellent. I'm no train spotter, but that steam train was a piece of kit Bow down

FXX fantastic - I suspect that that Stig was Schumacher. I'd be surprised if Ferrari would let just anyone drive one.

Least of all Clarkson, even if he does own a Fezza! In the pre-amble to the bit Jezza did say that you could buy one for squillions of Euros but Ferrari would be looking after it at the factory for you, so I doubt we'll see too many on the M4 or M25. Maybe on the back roads around Modena though. I wouldn't mind betting that Scheuy has one hiding in his lock-up at the factory! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
