Buying a RRS...need some advice...

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, but have already seen some interesting threads. Appears to be a great community here.

Here's my request:

I am seriously interested in buying a 2005 RRS TVD6 HSE, it will be my first RR ever, a dream come true...!!
It's cairns blue with beige leather interior, sunroof, the works...! Has 86.000 km on the odometer, and looks like new.

However, before I buy it, do you all have some practical tips on checking this car while at the dealer?
What are things to look for? Any particular thoughts on test driving?

All tips and feedback welcome...big thanks in advance...!

Greetings,

Snowski
(Sander)

Take it for a test drive, find an straight road and drive it at 10mph with the drivers windows open. Listen out for any knocking noises over pot holes or bumps in the road. If the suspension knocks it will probably require the modified LR anti roll bar bushes.

Park it up and on level ground and leave the suspension on access mode for an hour. Take a walk round the back and make sure the RRS is sitting level. If it looks like it falling to one side it will probably need the air suspension calibrating.

Check tyres and brake disc tolerances as these can be expensive to replace.

Other than that, enjoy!

Excellent tips, thanks! Especially checking the brake disc tolerances was an excellent tip that I had not thought of yet.

Will keep you updated on the test drive and my findings.

Once again, thanks for the fast reply. Thumbs Up
