So, my lease company have given me carte blanche to modify the bodywork as I see fit so I am starting there. The XS really does need a little spicing up.

So I am thinking of the following mods and would welcome your opnion on each and collectively.

20" Stormers or Supercharged alloys?
Supercharged front grill or HST?
Supercharged side vents or HST?
Side runners?
Optional: Window tinting to back and rear windows.

Does this sound tasteful enough to not be overbearing and a little too "street". Also, is there anything I have missed (VA's commentary on UAI and winches aside of course )?

Have to be careful with fitting aftermarket window tinting as if it isn't done properly air gets trapped on the aerial elements - factory fit is tinted glass with the elements fitted so you don't get air bubbles.

The 20" 10 spoke alloys are very easily kerbed so soon look bad..................... what about a set of Overfinch Tiger 20's

HST intakes are purely a matter of taste

Fantastic thanks Tim. this is just what I wanted. Looking at that I think my personal preference would be the s/c grill. nice to find another Stornaway Grey owner who has tested these out before hand.

I was looking at Pentagon for the aftermarket tinting as they seem to have good feedback from most people. But the tints are a little down the list at the moment.

Yes you unclip the old one and clip in the new one - getting hold of an HST grille might not be as easy as you think. You might get one on fleabay, but most dealers will not sell you one without the VIN from a genuine HST car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

To fit the front grille on RRS is the easiest thing in car world  RANGE ROVER, MORE THAN A CAR, LESS THAN A KITKAT

There are a few on fleabay but I think given your pictures I prefer the s/c grill anyway so will opt for that to start with.

Personally, i'd look at Overfinch Supersports, HST grille and OE sidesteps. Maybe clear side repeaters too.  Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award

Yeah Woz, Pentagon Manchester were the ones we used.

They even picked the car up in the morning and delivered it back late afternoon as the guy lived fairly nearby.

No Wozz, I wanted to do that and tbh that is what they recommended (Although they did admit it probably would be borderline illegal!).

However, Mrs ST was insistant that if we put midnight smoke on the back then it would look like a van (I know, I know but what can you do? )

In the end we kep the windscreen and front windows standard and put the equivalent of a mid-smoke on the rears Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award

to apply tint to the windscreen is totally illegal and immediatly makes the vehicle unroadworthy if cought plus in an accident you can be held responsible even if someone rear ended you!!!

as long as you still let 75% of light through you can get the fronts tinted. I had my ST tinted by pentagon then a friend in traffic branch tested them to ensure they were legal. I am now getting the sport done as the dealer applied cheap tints to the front glass that has failed the test.

just be careful. You probably will be asked to remove them at MOT so if it is due a test soon get them tinted after!
