My knob's on backwards ?

Just got my RRS back after 4 days in the dealers. They were trying to "fix" the knocking, and tell me they have fitted new ball joints, roll bar bushes (front and back) and removed the front vibration dampers. I now have my car back and immediately noticed 4 things.

Firstly the knocking appears to have substantially reduced, but

Secondly the steering is rather unresponsive and there appears to be an alarming oversteer, and

Thirdly they have destroyed part of the interior trim (apparently when valeting the car and have promised to replace it), and.....

Fourthly, the gear knob is now on backwards. WTF is that all about ???? RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

What a bunch of losers working on your car...but what about the Service Manager letting this go out the door without inspecting. Not much quality control at that shop I'd say. PJPR

Just back from another short drive. The gear knob still works, despite being fitted backwards. But the worrying thing now is that the dash board info panel flashed up "Driver intervention" a couple of times accompanied by a new "bong" sound - multiple low volume high pitched bongs. I've never seen or heard that before. Don't like it at all.......... and its forecast for snow tomorrow !!! RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Tim & VW - what on earth are you going on about ?

I have had this car for 2 years and I ain't ever seen "Driver Intervention" before. The car was driven back from the dealers by one of their drivers (who you would have thought would have noticed the unusually orientated gear knob) so perhaps he has switched something on that I haven't used before ....? RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Like i said. Theres a button to the right of the lock/unlock buttons. Its a picture of a car with a triangle around it. Most likely the dealership delivery guy turned it on. You have to turn it off youself as it remembers it was switched on.
