How do I make my RRS quicker?!

I have a TDV6 and had it remapped and it does 0-60 in roughly 8.5 seconds and maybe slightly quicker with low fuel and after a good run. Smile

What other things can I do to increase the acceleration as Im sick of being left behind by quicker Merc 4x4s and X5's. Evil or Very Mad

sorry Smile

well we own HEAVY cars and i don't see any chance to make them significantly faster without upgrading to a bigger engine but still they are heavy Smile

And if you want a fast SUV the Porsche Cayenne Turbo is the way to go...... Very Happy

my next car is or a Cayenne S (wife 1.0 decides on this) or a RRS SC or a Mini if the cedit crunch ever reachs us Smile

Sorry also for my bad english.... Wink

what about a decat pipe from pete bell and a nice stainless exhaust.

They should make you a bit faster but you'll sound a LOT faster.

If you want to listen to one pm me (or pete)

I think Pete was sourcing sports air filters too??

You could also throw away the TDv6 motor and slide a TDv8 into the slot........................... or buy a Bowler Nemisis for £120k - its about 0.5t lighter than a standard RRS! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

the car already has a double twin exhaust from Arden so i wouldnt consider that but thanks for the suggestion anyway! Smile

A high spec grade 3 remap from BJP Tuning in Lancashire Smile

Im not technically minded but I just know it made one hell of a difference to what it was previously and it improved on the Arden remap that was already in situ. I take it 11.9 is the normal 0-60 is it?? is that in sport mode too?? Shocked

Jay,
8.5 to 60 is no big deal...

now i'm using 2 stroke oil , if i turn the air con to economy I can see 8.0-8.1

I think a brake upgrade is a good idea if you want to go any faster.
I've got standard brakes which arent really good enough for repeated heavy stops.

Oh no, you cannot drive a Porsche here! Shocked Okay, it handles beautifully and it is hellfast and makes a good noise but you cannnot honestly drive a Porsche?! Shocked It maybe time to keep the car and switch to wife 2.0? Whistle
Get the RRS s/c, the engine fits beautiful to your other car! Thumbs Up
