An X5 is an Essex Slag compared to the City Chic of the RRS.

The Q5 is a fat mum of 6 on benefits from Rotherham and the Q7 is her fat older sister.

The FFRR is a classy looking older bird with good legs but tell tale signs of aging.

If you want my opinion stick with your lady, she's the best out of the lot, the grass is always greener on the other side.

Soon you'll find yourself looking at the cars on forecourts and wondering what p/x value your lady will get......Before you know it she'll be gone and you'll have a new love in your life. Rolling Eyes Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

Rupert a D3 is a "3 pinter", a bit rough round the edges but you know she's gonna show you a good time!

She's better than any of the other offerings (X5/Q5/Q7/Cayenne)

BKHK -

Stating the obvious, in changing to another brand you run the risk of having similar happen in any other new car. Every manufacturer has cases whereby one individual owners car appears to be more problematic than average. Formerly known in the UK as the 'Friday Car'

At the end of the day when such issues happen to me, I look to the way the issue was resolved - i.e. the customer service. And it would appear that you are being looked after reasonably well on that front, both by your dealer and the manufacturer - that's only my estimation though. Trust me I have seen much worse, and this forum also details more!

If you still feel aggrieved though - which is you prerogative - I would approach the dealer and/or manufacturer and ask them what they think of your issue at the big picture level, and how they would propose resolving it or recompensing you. See how creative they wish to be, and if they propose something, see whether that closes the matter for you and discuss if not. If they close the door on you then you know what they think of your future business and loyalty, and then you have to make your choice then and there to move on or to stay with LR, aaccepting whatever risks lie within your decision! No one can make this decision for you Thumbs Up

FWIW, if I was in your shoes I would try be to get LRA to assist you into a TDV8! Twisted Evil

BKHK, I don't know what the consumer laws are like in Oz, but maybe try to push LR for a new replacement or money back?
