Driving the car Monday & CRACK!! Stone hits the screen & by the end of the day I have a 15" Crack coming up from the bottom of the glass!

So - i'm straight onto my insurance company & they give me 'Autoglass' Phone Number - who actually were very helpful (Bournemouth Branch).

Irritatingly though - the windscreen is on back-order & no-one can tell me when it will be in stock!!

Oh Well - time to get my other little baby out of the garage for some 'enthusiastic driving' while I wait!!  '10 Jaguar XKR Coupe 5.0L Supercharged.

That was my question - apparently they have to order the glass direct from Land Rover; but couldn't be any more specific!

The part number for 10MY is certainly different to all earlier MYs Tim.
The 10MY brochure (Pg 11) claims "An acoustic windscreen and laminated front side glass raises cabin refinement higher still and improves noise insulation". I understand laminated glass but what is "acoustic glass", maybe just thicker?

I also just thought the glass was thicker to provide a 'soundproofing' of sorts!! Didn't stop it cracking though!!

Autoglass did say to me that as it's a laminate screen, it wouldn't shatter so should be safe to drive...I won't take the chance if I can help it though!! '10 Jaguar XKR Coupe 5.0L Supercharged.
