hi j..m. other peoples opinion shouldnt influence what car u buy. if it does then u should buy a clio or something small and"green" as peoples opinion of us that drive range rovers is that we are killing the planet and are responsilbe for the melting of the ice caps! get what u think will make u the happiest. i thought the bmw x5 3.0d had the best engine, the q7 the practicality, but the rangey had charactor, soul if thats possible? both the x5 and q7 are great pieces of engineering, but missing something. ive had nothing but trouble with my sport, but i still think it is awesome. maybe thats the difference, the german kit is over engineered compared to the more basic british land rover stuff. and i am british. and i love them for it

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

I am German but I also love the RRS for exactly that reason, it just has character. Cool RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

Im on the fence but voted Q7 to make myself feel better cause I have one.

I have just changed from a nice RRS to a Q7, and in all honesty prefer the Q7.

Although I think the looks of the range can not be beaten, the interior is too retro and not of the best build quality.

Q7 interior is a really nice place to be and loaded with gadgets. Only thing with the Q7 is the road noise is a bit more than the RRS.

here are my 2.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

I had a RRS for 7 months. 'Cos of all the trouble, I changed to a Q7.
More room, better interior, better build quality, more gadgets, more comfort,
no knocking, no steering shimmy, no gearbox hesitation and less time at dealer being fixed.
In general, a better car.

I'm still tossing it around in my mind ....... This is the way I'm leaning ...... I like the RR .... I want a RR ...... But I'm probably going to go Q7 because its a better vehicle...... I want somthing to zoom up & down the motorway & drag stuff about at week ends...... If this turns out to be the wrong decision I will get rid of it & buy a Landrover summink or other for weekends & a Merc pose mobile Very Happy

I spose it all depends on why you buy a vehicle...... I decided to go 4X4 ...... Decided that RR's look great ....... But find after quite some digging that they ain't nearly as good as anyone could reasonably expect. "Presence" is just a emotion......... If I wanted to be stuck in the house more often I'd be upgrading the Mrs Laughing
