To demonstrate the new Freelander 2 TD4_e Stop Start system Land Rover has built a special 4x4 course in the Battersea Power station, London. According to Land Rover, the new Freelander 2 TD4_e, which goes on sale in May in the UK, can reduce CO2 emissions by 8 percent and delivers up to 20 percent better fuel economy in the city. The video below demonstrates how the new TD4_e works.

Posts: 3377 | I don't disbelieve that the benefits of Stop/Start outweigh "leaving it running" at lights and such like, however, I was always led to believe that restarting the engine creates more pollution than just letting it idle???? Especially a vehicle that uses tractor juice???
