LR Dealers in Vietnam

Guys,

As me and the missus are most probably upping sticks from Houston and moving to Vietnam in a few months, I was trying to find out if there is a LR dealer in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).... according to the LR site the dealer is based in the UK and I already spoke to them, but I remember I had heard that there is someone local in Vietnam ? Dont suppose anyone is out that way and knows Smile Otherwise, maybe forced into a not so lovely X5 or Merc Rolling Eyes

Cheers,

Adrian.... Brit across the Pond Wink

If you google "Land Rover HCM City" then yes it appears there is.....there are articles about "Vietnam welcomes LR to HCM City and the HCM City Showroom.....this address "Muang Mai Land Rover Building 4th Floor 9/17 Moo 6, T. Rasda" also appears....

Thanks Guys,

Yep thought about shipping it and may do so but I was wanting to get a FFRR if we moved.... most likley ship another car also - Toyota Sienna to haul the kids around.

I did see those articles but not the address, must be getting old here Rolling Eyes I will give them a call this week and see... the Misses will be over there on Wednesday on business so I am on kid duty in the meantime.

One thing is that we will have to have a driver as I am NOT driving in the city as its a crazy place to negotiate traffic (scooters)... maybe we need a S550 instead Laughing Brit across the Pond Wink

Bangkok is the WORST place I have seen for driving......I wouldnt even attempt it there, I'd be just as worried someone driving my car there though......I didnt care about it because I was in crappy taxis but someone driving my precious in Vietnam would be too much to handle....even with me in the back!

...and what are your plans for the Buck Blue Super vindaloo charged you've got now?

Just turning it in to the dealer perhaps, or selling it privately? PJPR

Concur, India is one of the more interesting places i would say. It makes a dodgem ride at a fair ground seem a pretty peaceful and organised event Laughing Been to Bangalore and New Delhi, all mad houses, 6-8 lanes of traffic across 4 lanes and going in both directions Shocked .. oh and the odd elephant on a dual carriageway as well Thumbs Up Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Hey PJPR

Not sure at the moment.... if the move actually comes off (as its the wife's idea and our family business for a change doing all this, not Big Oil ... going to be a man of leasure & daddy day care or more like she will put me to work at the plant as tea boy) then we may ship it out if there is a good dealer to look after it or SHMBO had me look at other cars the other day Big Cry inc the Lexus LX570, which wasnt that bad Rolling Eyes (if not a bit boring).... I wanted a new Defender but was overuled Thud

We shall see.....

One good thing is that we can ship 2 cars through the company and sell one at a nice profit later Thumbs Up Brit across the Pond Wink
