Under the Sport TDV6

Had mine over the pit in the workshop yesterday for a look see.
Can any body explain what the black canister shaped thing is to left hand side of the car it is fatened to the exhaust by a bracket but has no in and out conections and at first glance looks like it does nothing?
Also as the disco3 has them so does the sport the hanging weights on the back, what are they for? Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Nope,
It is located near the air tank but not a compressor I don't think. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I know the box you mean, but sadly can't throw any light on the idea. Anyone going to a dealer soon, maybe they could ask a mechanic? Smile

Tasmod, the cannister I was looking is not the so called vibration weights it is part of the exhaust system. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.
