2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Ford Kuga

I was followed into town this morning by a rather attractive new Ford Kuga on a 58 plate, paintedin a sort of metallic gold with a tinge of green which according to the Kuga website is called Chilli................... really suits the car. Anyway I popped into the local dealers while I was shopping and they took me for test drive. It's only available with a 2.0TSci engine but apart from being incredibly noisy after the TDv8 it is a rather nice softroader with a superb suspension setup and the quality of the interior is very impressive.
Not so sure about the exterior which looks like a RAV4 from the side, a Focus from the front and a C-Max or S-Max from the back.

I can see Freelander2 loosing a lot of sales to this car - especially as the dealership where openly offering discounts of £1500 on cars in stock, which appear to be fully loaded with all the extras and all for less than the price of the cheapest F2! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

They won't make them for long, then try and get parts/stuff for it at a later date.

I.e. Vauxhall Frontera/Monterey/Ford Probe/Cougar/Scorpio etc etc..

It's cheaper than the FL2, but I'm not sure it's aimed at the same market.... this is more aimed at your "lifestyle" small SUVs such as Rav4/FRV etc. Added to which, when 5th gear drove it into a puddle it was game over (literally). Meant to be a good car, as long as you don't ask the moon of it Thumbs Up

I saw one on the road this morning, thought it looked quite nice, but never heard of it been put out in competition with the FL2 for its off road capabilities or any other car to think about it.

It more suited towards the Renault one that tows a car out of the mud on the TV advert.

Has the Kuga been advertised on TV, I can't recall seeing anything only Bill boards ( Great marketing Laughing )

School run car I think Thumbs Up

Not sure about TV ads - I've seen a couple on the roads, but remember the 5th gear episode from a couple of weeks back.

I really like them, a little expensive though. Good looking vehicle IMO. Ford's are increasingly good to drive too.

What are they like for space inside? I thought they looked a wee bit small. "CY from DISCO3"

It's been playing on Sky for ages now.

I've been trying to figure out if the girl at the start is a cutie or not. Sometimes I think she is, other times not. However, what disturbs me is that she seems to be wearing a bra to bed............

Not a good sign at all Rolling Eyes

I’m more intrigued though with the girl first seen at 42s & appears again at 45s.

Much more interesting I reckon Thumbs Up

Probably is - Ford owns Mazda and the new Mazda 6 looks like a rebadged new Mondeo, so why not rebadge the Kuga too for the USA.
CY - the car I drove today had plenty of room inside but it was very dark in there - everything is Black - seats rooflining, dash, carpets, door trim you name it is black except for some aluminium coloured plastic around the radio and on the centre consol 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
