Problem in IE 7

I work in IT but I can't figure this one out, I bet it's really simple.

When looking at certain web pages (Landrover and Autotrader are the worst cases) when I click on a link the result is not what I want, for example.

In the Land Rover site when trying to view the different exterior and interior colour schemes on any of the cars, I click on the colour patch and the screen just refreshes to the same colour as originally displayed. The only way I can get it to change is to press CTRL and click, but then of course it opens a new tab as well.

On the Auto Trader website, when I click on a car advert I get a pop up and the screen behind changes to the advert, if I select a picture more often than not it doesn't work, I can't go 'back' unless I hit the refresh button too.

Anyone know where I am going wrong? L319 D4 HSE

I'm using IE7 right now and the colour swatch thing on the LR site works for me so I'd say it wasn't an IE-specific issue. As for popups - you can play about with how IE deals with popups as new tabs or floating popups in the Tools/General tab. That might be your issue there....

I'm using it at home... it is very buggy, but then it's only a beta release so they're just being sensible and using the world at large as testers. Very sensible. They won't get the feedback they deserve if everyone say it's buggy and stops using it Very Happy

RRUK - Sounds more like a proxy cache issue...assuming, of course, that you're accessing from w*rk and that you have a proxy server installed.

It may be worth trying firefox as different browsers handle proxies differently...As Tim said earlier though think I'd stick with Firefox 2, I've just installed 3 and not blown away by it. Rolling Eyes Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

I get a similar problem on some forums, one example is tyresmoke where when I view the forums I see a list from my last visit - no updates, I actually have to force a refresh, and I cannot find what is causign this. Other times it occurs is LR and Audi site for used car searches, it gives bogus results, or they are results from the last search I made.
