The ancient Kenwood radio cassette (er whats a cassette I hear you ask) in my Defender has all but died but I haven't bothered to replace it until now................................ I have just ordered one of these for fitting to it which will get around the hands free and iPod compatiblity

Of course................................................ if I turn the volume right up Actually the Tdi300 isn't too bad, but the 4 OEM speakers are crap, mainly due to the wagon only having an FM/AM radio when it was new and not a radio cassette. The radio cassette was fitted for free by the dealer I bought it from when I found the old radio didn't work at all. The car is a County so has 4 speakers as standard (just not very HiFi!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Many years ago I was the service engineer in a recording studio and part of my duties was to listen to the cassettes that came off the high-speed duplication recorders. Tweaking and adjusting the performance of the recorders to get the best performance from them I managed to get the company an award for the best repoduction off a mass produced cassette ... still sounded c p tho  Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Yes, it's fully compatible with also any phone, reads your contacts (up to 8000 contact which makes LR's system pale a bit!)! but don't think it can handles SMS! It has all the usual Parrot functions as well as being a radio/mp3 player
