United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

if you give me a while i will try and find out where i downloaded the instructions etc , i think they must be on another pc
ordinary paint from halfords etc will do the trick
i found it very easy to do the modification but the correct heat and timing in the oven is critical

Headlight lens removal

Pre heat oven to 200 , unscrew everything from headlight that can be taken off , remove clips etc from lens cover, place in oven for 3 mins exactly , remove and prise lens slowly with a suitible knife , don’t remove black adhesive as this is to be reused
To replace , fit lens and body back together , place in oven for 3 mins again , remove and firmly push together and replace clips while still hot
Hope this helps

well mine is a fan assisted oven, and it seemed to be just enough... make sure u keep ur eye on it though and make sure no plastic bits touch the edges of the oven to prevent melting... getting the lense off is a struggle, but if u pop it in for an extra 30 secs it becomes easier... but be gentle when prising the bit apart... good luck!!!! be brave, u will be fine!!!!

Well I'd like to do it, bit worried about the adaptive part of the lights. '08 RRS TDV8

Would love to have mine done too - but would rather someone do it for me, so if anyone wants to start a business doing this, add me to their list - looks great - although not sure about the strip in 3 parts, would look better in one strip...like yours Aljo, mine has a black grill and a full colour code, so think it would make all the difference - and even though Jay takes the Censored out of me for doing it, I still think the colour code running board looks good too.... Thumbs Up

Go to accstyle.com and they have a video which is also on youtube which shows a guy taking a Lexus headlamp apart (to install halos..you might as well do that and paint it while you are in there..). I stopped watching as soon as he put it into the oven for 15 minutes. I have heard several different temps and times..

Try that out, you will get the idea..

Whoo

I do wish that some company made new headlights and tail lights for our cars. Do you know how many choices I have for the wife's X5? TONS... None for us, we have to have them modified... That's great if you are like me and sure to burn up the headlight while heating it...[/url]

R-Tec in St. Albans do a headlight exchange.

They can colour code them and remove the reflector. 2006 '56 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java Black, Alpaca Interior, PTI, Sidesteps, 22" Stormers wrapped in 285/35/22 Toyo Proxes, Java Framed SC Grille, Java/Zambezi Side Vents, Matt Black LR3 Door Handles, Matt Black Lower Tailgate Trim, Colour coded lower body trims, Semi Smoked Taillights, Chrome Mirrors and Fog Light Bezels, Reflex Exhaust Back, Full Pentagon AutoGlass Privacy, Tasmod Sills, Clear Side Repeaters, pics in gallery!

DDX, mate tried their web site, but couldn't find anything - if they do, will call them and order two new lights......It's the final touch to the car I want to achieve, and then I can take things easy - it's the only thing that stops me getting TDV8 - all the time I have spent doing this one up....
